Description

A quick, healthy, and kid-approved smoothie made with simple ingredients like mango, strawberries, yogurt, and milk. Perfect for busy school mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks (150g) or fresh mango, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (150g) or fresh strawberries with a few ice cubes
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (120g), full-fat or low-fat
  • 1 cup milk of choice (240ml), such as dairy, almond, oat, or soy milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice (optional)
  • 1 handful spinach (about 30g, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: peel and chop fresh mango and hull strawberries if using fresh fruit. Rinse and pat dry spinach if using. Measure out yogurt and milk.
  2. Add mango, strawberries, yogurt, milk, honey or maple syrup (if using), lime juice, and spinach (if using) to the blender.
  3. Blend on low speed first, then increase to high until smooth and creamy with no chunks visible. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk and blend briefly. Taste and adjust sweetness with honey or lime juice if desired, then blend again.
  5. Serve immediately in glasses or travel cups. Garnish with a strawberry slice or mango chunk if desired.

Notes

Use frozen fruit to avoid watering down the smoothie with ice. Lime juice brightens the flavor. Greek yogurt adds creaminess and protein. Blend in stages to avoid blender overheating. Prep fruit and yogurt the night before for faster mornings. Spinach can be added for extra nutrients without changing taste.
