Description
A simple, creamy iced vanilla latte made with espresso, vanilla extract, milk, and sweetener. Easy to customize and perfect for a refreshing homemade coffee treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 shots espresso or about 60ml strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup (240ml) milk (whole milk recommended, or oat/almond milk for dairy-free)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1–2 teaspoons sweetener (simple syrup, honey, maple syrup, or dissolved granulated sugar)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: whipped cream
- Optional: pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg
- Optional: flavored syrups like caramel or hazelnut
Instructions
- Brew two shots of espresso (about 60ml) or prepare a strong brewed coffee. Chill if desired.
- Fill a tall glass or mason jar about three-quarters full with ice cubes.
- Add 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 1-2 teaspoons of your preferred sweetener to the glass. Stir gently to combine.
- Slowly pour the espresso or strong coffee over the ice and vanilla mixture.
- Pour 1 cup of milk over the coffee and ice. Stir well until creamy and smooth.
- Optional: Add a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Froth milk for a creamy cap if desired.
- Serve immediately with a straw or sip directly from the glass.
Notes
Use pure vanilla extract for best flavor. Chill espresso before pouring over ice to prevent dilution. Adjust sweetener to taste. Freeze leftover coffee in ice cube trays to avoid watery drinks. Whole milk gives creamiest texture; oat milk is best dairy-free option.
