Description
A quick, refreshing, and creamy mango lassi with a hint of warm cardamom spice, perfect for busy weeknights. This easy drink blends ripe mangoes, yogurt, and natural sweeteners for a tropical escape in a glass.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium ripe mangoes (about 1 ½ cups / 225g peeled and diced)
- 1 cup (240ml) plain full-fat Greek yogurt
- ½ cup (120ml) whole milk (or almond/oat milk for dairy-free)
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey (or maple syrup)
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 cup (150g) ice cubes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) lime juice
Instructions
- Peel and dice the ripe mangoes into chunks. If using frozen mango, thaw for a few minutes or blend frozen for a thicker, colder drink.
- Add mango chunks, yogurt, milk, honey, ground cardamom, lime juice, and ice cubes into the blender. Add liquids first to avoid blender getting stuck.
- Blend on high until smooth, creamy, and slightly frothy. Adjust thickness by adding more milk if too thick or more mango/ice if too thin.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with more honey or brightness with extra lime juice as needed.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Optionally garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom or a mint leaf.
Notes
Use ripe mangoes for best flavor; frozen mango works well too. Freshly ground cardamom enhances flavor. Adjust sweetness and thickness to taste. Serve immediately for best freshness. Store leftovers in fridge up to 24 hours and stir before drinking. Not recommended to reheat.
