Description
A creamy, no-bake dessert dip that combines tangy cheesecake base with sweet caramel sauce and crisp apple slices. It’s a quick, crowd-pleasing autumn treat that requires only five ingredients and minimal effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces (225g) full-fat brick cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1/2 cup (120ml) pourable caramel sauce
- 2 medium crisp apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji), sliced into wedges
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional: 1/4 cup (30g) chopped toasted pecans
- Optional: Sea salt flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Let the cream cheese sit on the counter for at least 30 minutes until softened. Break it into quarters.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, sour cream, and cinnamon (if using).
- Beat on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth, pale, and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the cream cheese mixture. Gently fold it in with a spatula to create visible ribbons; do not overmix.
- Wash, core, and slice the apples into wedges.
- Spoon the marbled dip into a serving bowl. Smooth the top and swirl remaining caramel on top if desired.
- Sprinkle with sea salt flakes and chopped pecans if using.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the dip to firm up.
- Serve chilled with apple slices and optional dippers like graham crackers or pretzels.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Store apples separately from the dip to prevent browning. The dip improves in flavor if made ahead and chilled overnight. Do not freeze as the texture may become grainy.
