Description
These keto-friendly air fryer chicken wings are incredibly crispy, juicy, and ready in just 25 minutes. Using simple pantry staples and no breading, this budget-friendly recipe delivers restaurant-quality crunch without the deep fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 pounds chicken wings (party wings or drumettes and flats)
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (or kosher salt)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Thaw wings completely if frozen. Pat them very dry with paper towels to remove all surface moisture.
- Place dried wings in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Toss wings until evenly coated with oil and seasoning.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- Arrange wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch or overlap. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 12 minutes.
- Flip wings using tongs and cook for another 8 minutes at 380°F. For extra crispiness, increase temperature to 400°F for the last 2-3 minutes.
- Remove wings and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Patting wings dry is crucial for crispiness. Do not overcrowd the basket as wings need space to circulate air. Use powdered spices instead of fresh to prevent burning. Wings can be frozen for up to 3 months and reheated in the air fryer.
